Inspections

D-Max has completed over 40,000 storm water compliance inspections for Southern California Copermittees.

  • Industrial and Commercial Business Inspections
  • Structural Treatment Control BMP Inspections
  • Construction and Post-Construction BMP Verification Inspections
  • Municipal Facility and Activity Inspections

We work alongside our clients to coordinate inspection programs and ensure compliance with changing regulatory requirements.  Our team has pioneered new inspection techniques and program adaptation to streamline inventory maintenance, inspection completion, and enforcement case resolution.  We assist our clients in making informed decisions for resolving complex compliance issues and preparing inspection data for annual reporting.  We also represent Copermittees during field inspections with Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) staff and prepare responses to the RWQCB and San Diego Coastkeeper.

We respond to unanticipated or emergency situations and our inspectors are highly experienced at successfully dealing with a wide range of business types and potentially challenging BMP implementation situations.

Municipalities are facing TMDLs and new Municipal Permits, both of which shift storm water program emphasis further toward water quality benefits and pollutant load reductions and away from simple activity completion.  Compared to widespread structural BMP installation, compliance inspections and private structural BMP maintenance oversight offer cost effective load reduction methods.
